We sailed on the Christmas cruise to Papua New Guinea in December 2016, whilst P&O say that they refurbished the ship, the best way to describe it is like a polished turd. The ship itself was tired and run down, the staff were for the most part unhelpful, rude and obviously didn't want to be there. The destination and people of the Islands were great, everything you expect the staff to be happy, vibrant and very helpful!

I experienced several issues with the food service especially, to the point that I had a server arguing with me about putting jam in a container for my 5 year old daughter as opposed to just slapping it onto her plate like you would for a pig. Furthermore dinner menu for kids was only served between 1630hrs to 1700hrs when I asked for the kids menu at the same time we wanted to eat the staff again refused to assist and then began to argue, finally the manager accommodated us and fellow passengers in the same position.

In every aspect we experienced staff to be so inflexible and regimented and unwilling to accommodate reasonable requests. We have been on several cruises, including P&O however this will no longer be the case for P&O; like no place on earth... will you get such crap service!
