Prior to going to the cruise we were warned by friends that their cruise a couple of weeks before, they did not enjoy it because so many of the staff members were rude. But, I chose this cruise because of the trip destinations. Port Canaveral is close to where we live. I also chose this cruise because I planned on proposing to my now fiancé. I wanted a beautiful tropical setting to ask her. Overall the ship was fine, it was clean and check in and check out was easy. The ship also offered a variety of activities, many of them we participated in. The Quest game show, was hilarious so I definitely recommend that! Overall we had a good time, however, we had a horrible experience in the casino with one staff member and we were not happy with the friendliness of some of the bar staff around the ship.

I am not the one to complain or write a review but we were so upset about the casino incident, I ensured my fiancé that I would write this review. My fiancé and I came back from Nassau, after I proposed to her. We decided that we wanted to hit up the casino later in the evening and have a good time. We aren't big drinkers or gamblers but wanted to try something different. We went into the casino to watch how some of the games were played and while standing near a table, we waited behind one of the glass pieces in front of the Roulette table. That is when I accidentally bumped into the glass with my hand but quickly removed it, the dealer behind the table then rudely looks up at me and tells me to not lean on the glass. I apologize and tell her I was not leaning on it, I accidentally bumped it. It was then she rudely told me, "Read the sign, it says do not lean on it, look it is right below you, it is even in English!" At that point, I became extremely irritated because It was simply an accident that the glass was bumped but then to talk to me like I was incompetent and tell me it is, "in English," who is she to know that English was my first language? I just found it extremely disrespectful, especially since the boat is filled with many different ethnicities from all sorts of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I found it widely inappropriate for her to make such assumptions but then to speak to me so disrespectfully. It definitely put a sour taste in our mouths and we didn't return to the casino for the remainder of the cruise.

It was a bummer that we were just trying to have a good time after being newly engaged during the day! While we had some friendly staff members at the bars and restaurants we also encountered some very unfriendly staff. Primarily at the Boleros Bar and Pool deck bars. Several times, we were ignored and when finally ordering their overall demeanor was unfriendly and rude. It just felt like you had some staff members who definitely deserved the automatic 18% gratuity and others that definitely didn't, which sucked considering how outrageously expensive the drinks were. In Johnny Rockets, the staff was great! We had the best server who not only was very funny and kind but he performed magic tricks for us at the end of dinner. It was really impressive! He was the only server or staff member that we felt deserved an additional tip.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

The cabin was fine for us. We didn't spend much time in it but It was always cleaned.

Port Reviews

Nassau

The beaches were beautiful, we laid back in our chairs and swam in the water for a little bit. It was very relaxing.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We are from Florida so Port Canaveral was familiar to us. Checking in was easy and the staff at the port were friendly.
