This was our third Uniworld River Cruise. We were impressed with the quality of service, friendliness of the crew and ports of call right from our first Uniworld experience. We were in one of their four suites, which was magnificent, and already booked their Christmas and New Year's cruise for December 2018 on the Maria Teresa and are looking forward to that. We had our own butler who was extremely attentive to our every need. Our room steward had our room in wonderful shape for the whole cruise. Being able to meet and talk with our captain made this cruise feel very personal. He was at the door to welcome each one of us back on board after every excursion.
We love visiting small villages and interacting with local people rather than visiting tourist traps. All inclusive pricing can't be beat. The food at every meal was excellent, prepared from local meats, fish and produce.
Considering that the River Ambassador is one of Uniworld's smaller ships, our suite was quaint spacious and well appointed.
I learned that bicycles have the right of way over pedestrians and even cars! I became quite aware of bicycles.
I attended a local lecture at home on the life on Van Gogh and seeing some of his works and learning more about his life was interesting.
It was amazing to see these windmills functioning to this date, even if they're kept in excellent working condition as back ups to their electric pumping systems.
Brussels is one of my favorite cities. The Grand Place never ceases to amaze.
