We chose this cruise for my daughter;s 50th birthday because the dates were right. The cabin was adequate and we enjoyed the entertainment and the food in the main restaurant although not so impressed with the buffet. One bugbear was that we had booked an excursion in Roatan which was my daughter's birthday but the itinerary was changed so we were not in Roatan that day. We quickly booked another one for Cozumel but when we got to the area we were unable to leave the ship because the sea was too choppy for the tender to be used.Apparently Cozumel has berths for 8 ships buy 9 were expected that day so ours was the one that had to anchor at sea and use a tender to get to shore. Surely Thomson should have been aware of that fact before changing the itinerary.

Another gripe is that my daughter was offered a free photo-shoot and a free print for her birthday. The photographer was very good and took lots of photos of us both in various locations. When we went to view them the next day so my daughter could choose her free one the photographer made it very clear we were expected to buy some of them The photos were lovely but they cost £40.00 each or all of them for around £120.00. When we told him that we didn't have that sort of money to spare he was quite nasty and when we went to the desk later in the cruise he totally ignored us. I appreciate that he spent a lot of time with us but feel that when these offers are made it should be made clear what is expected. Another negative is that although there is a safe in the cabin it is not free to use.
