This is our eighth cruise with P & O and our third Christmas and New year cruise with them.

Although it pains me to say it,standards have fallen on Oceana,don't get me wrong,we still had a great time but little niggles are starting to come through.

We are fortunate enough to always either have a suite or a mini suite and enjoy the little extras that involves,so when we arrived and were told we weren't entitled to go into the priority lounge we (and others) were not impressed,long story short,after much discussion with port staff we eventually got through,then,once on the ship, were told we were not entitled to go into the champagne lunch,which we have always done in the past also.The woman at reception was very dismissive and more or less said it is what it is.We asked to speak to the priority manageress who then told us "yes you are entitled,there's just been a mix up" not a great start to our holiday,when you pay almost 9K for a holiday,you do not expect to be spoken to that way,or indeed whatever you've paid.We did receive a nice bottle of wine as an apology but that doesn't excuse rudeness by reception.
