Sail Date: Nov 2016

We just got back from our Bahamas Celebration cruise to Bimini. The ship is an older Carnival ship, but it is in good condition and big enough to give you a big ship feel.

The embarkation went very quick. We were on the ship in about 20 minutes. We did get there at first available boarding. The cabin was adequate for the size of the ship and clean. One "gottcha" was my girlfriend and i were both charged $24 on our sail and sign card for the cabin steward. We thought the $48 was high for a two night cruise. The food was better than I expected for an older ship. A pleasant surprise. The drinks were $7 for a domestic beer and $9 for a regular drink tip included. The drinks were OK, a bit watery for the money. We did go to the main theater and watched both shows and they were very good. Again, better than I thought they would be.

We had to tender in to Bimini and it wasn't pleasant or easy. Celebration usually goes to Freeport, Bahamas, but has been temporarily rerouted to Bimini while Freeport gets repaired from Hurricane Mathew. It took up to 90mins to complete the process. Once on Bimini there isn't much to do if you don't rent a golf cart (Cars are not available). We rented a six person cart for $65 for the day and that saved the day. We had to really scramble to find the cart. They do not have enough to go around. So get off the ship early if you want one. Once back in home port. the disembarkation went very smoothly of us. We were the couple of people to get off the ship when it docked at 7:30am. All in all this is a good product and I will be back. I was disappointed in the cabin steward charge.

Cabin Standard

Small be clean. The TV didn't work properly, but not a big deal for us. The room was small, but this is a small ship. But not bad.
