Traveled with children

My family and I have been to Nassau several times, so the port was nothing new to us. We have never sailed on Royal Caribbean other than 25 years ago, we have always chosen Disney. Needless to say, we were skeptical about trying Royal again, especially when you have two kids with you. When we pulled up to parking deck, it went very smooth. There were signs directing you exactly where to go. However when we got to the elevators to get to the first floor (we parked on the 2nd,) one of the elevators was not working. After about 5 minutes of standing around waiting for one it finally came. A nice man was standing there waiting for us to give our luggage to him. He was very friendly and seemed to be very careful with our bags. We went through security, which only took about 10 minutes of the time. We were very pleased with the amount of time it was taking us. When we got to the place to fill out the paperwork, we saw three long lines, so we knew it was too good to be true. However, when they saw that we were "gold members" of Royal Caribbean, they told us to bypass the lines and get in a separate section.

This was by far the best part. At Disney we were silver members and they made us wait in line. It took about 5 minutes to get us through and we were one of the first ones on the ships. The ship was beautiful especially considering it was built in 1992. We were in cabin #7516 which online it said it had an obstructive view. We were not expecting what we actually got. We had nothing at all in our way other than it was not a private balcony. It was in the middle of the jogging track, but if the ship were to have a problem to where we had to be evacuated by lifeboats, it would be the easiest for us to just walk out of our room and be where the lifeboats are. We had an excellent stateroom attendant.

The dining was good, comparable to Disney, even. The entertainment was not as family-friendly as Disney's was, but we didn't expect to be wowed by it. It was very good for adults, however. The service was outstanding and there was not one day when we were not pleased with it. The ports of call were amazing, as always and the private island, CocoaCay was even better than Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. Overall, we had one of the bests cruises ever on the Majesty and we can't wait to do it again!
