Sail Date: May 2016

In 2015 we sailed on this ship to New Zealand 14 days and had a wonderful cruise. so for our 47th wedding anniversary we had no problem choosing the same ship but an area of Australia that we had wanted to see. We flew over to Perth 3days before we sailed so we could explore the area. We were contacted by the cruise line to say Yorkeys Knob was cancelled, due to engine problems and that the ships speed couldn't be reached. And we would be Refunded small consolation for people who were looking forward to Cairns.

Embarkation for us was very smooth Better than the New Zealand embarkation in Sydney 2015.our cabin which was on deck 12 and up front very quiet We had a problem with our Icy cold air conditioning for 2 days but it was fixed after the front desk was notified. our problem was trying to get off the ship at Geraldton, too long a wait and not organised, The captain apologised saying that the next Port would be ok! little did he know what a right ole stuff up Broome was. Hours it took to get off the ship ,not good enough, then onto Kimberlys at least they couldn't stuff this one .Darwin not a problem, then onto Alotau with an unexpected stop halfway there as we had an emergency on board and passengers had to be lifted off (hopefully they are well) but the captain mentioned that the delay of a couple of hours could be made up So obviously the engines were OK he must think we are stupid and not remembering about the ship having engine problems. once at Alotau getting off ship wasn't a problem if you didn't do a ship tour But this was the only 1 we booked and had to wait for more than 1 hr to get off ship as 1 of the buses had a flat tyre, we finished up walking off and getting a taxi down to the cultural centre as we had the wrist band which allows you to get in, Terrific shore tour ,Brisbane again was walk off get ferry down to South Bank and explore .

WOULD WE GO AGAIN Not on princess I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy, we were looking at booking a trip around Japan but I am so glad we didn't as this was enough. The stewards cabin and dining areas were wonderful they couldn't do enough for you, always smiling and nothing was to much trouble for them. This cruise was not worth the money .I submitted a letter to our cruise consultant at the end and she passed it on to the Princess company who a few weeks later offered us a 75.00 credit on our next cruise .I didn't complain to receive a treat only to let them know IT WASNT UP TO STANDARD
