I chose this cruise because I wanted to visit the Fjords, I wanted to do more than 7 days and I wanted an adult friends ship, although these dates didn't coincide with school holiday. I have only ever sailed P&O and the Arcadia was the ship that was going, when I wanted to go. The ship is slightly smaller than the Ventura which I have been on twice before but she still is a lovely ship. It didn't take me long to familiarise myself with the ship. I chose Freedom Dining as I like to dine as and when. I was very pleased with my choice all round. With Arcadia you do get what I would class a more sedate entertainment - albeit all very good. One good point if you are a dancer then there is lots of dancing (ballroom, latin etc) on this ship and The Globe is a good venue for this (instead at the bottom of the atrium as on Ventura). The headliner shows were all very good. My cabin (single inside) was great - steward very nice. The buffet was good - lots of choice and very friendly staff, yes sometimes it is busy but that is only to be expected. All the staff were lovely and obliging, everywhere was clean. I would chose this ship again if it were going where I want to go without a hesitation. thanks P&O for another amazing cruise.
My cabin was classed as a single cabin (I am a single traveller). It was clean and spacious, The bathroom was ample - lots of wardroom and draw space. I don't every spend much time in my cabin - it was extremely good. My steward was amazing - always available if I needed anything. Could not have been better.
Liked Bergen - made my own way into town - very easy and had a ride up the Fenicular.
Embarkation was excellent.
Did my own thing again here had a good walk/moderate Hike. Plenty of information available at the Tourist Office on the Quay.
Just did my own thing. Very easy to navigate the town - very picturesque.
