We have just disembarked on Sunday 1st May from Singapore to Fremantle. Weather was perfect. Food was just great. We chose to eat in Horizon as I wanted none to tell me what to eat, I could choose anything, and it was amazing every day. The staff were polite, and helpful and always there for you.
The entertainment each night was great, 2 pianist shows was a bit much, but both different to each other. I bought the drink package as I like a wine or two, and it worked out good $59 a day, so I made sure I used it up. A surprise when they take it out of the bank all in one hit, but then thats over in the first day and you don't have to worry about it. We paid as we went for Internet, that suited us and was about $3 to check our mail.
Got of in most ports but was just as happy to stay onboard and have the pool and deck to ourselves as we had been to most destinations. It was a floating resort to us. and it lived up to that. The games ,amusements, and everything was all good. only problem was the break down of Washers and dryers, 2 in each laundry, but only one worked on our floor and then died the last 4 days. The lifts, well you could never get one, and then the doors never closed,, called one "Moaner" and the other Maybe". things seemed to leak, and carpets in some parts were constantly wet. but apart from those minor things,it was another awesome adventure.
It looked small on entering, but we found it big enough for the 2 of us and we aren't little. with the balcony there, and a great view it was always open. Bathroom was a good size and spotless
Singapore is always a great place to visit, so much to see and eat, chinatown is always alive, You can always find a bargain in Orchard Road, and Food republic has the best food ever.
Langkawi is amazing, the huge eagle welcomes you. shopping is ok, but the best part is the duty free alcohol everyone was buying it up as it is so cheap. sky walk is good. Hire a car and drive around for the day, plenty to see
Penang is a shoppers paradise, lots of shopping centres, little india to see walking in Historic town, very pretty indeed. Shoes and sandals are so cheap, buy plenty of them.
Always love Bali, but its a rush unless you get off on the first boat ride. then leave at 2 to make sure your back by 4.30, it hot and a hectic day, some said the excursion bus had no air conditioning and they had to buy there own lunch, but I think Ubod is to far away for an organised trip, better to just see Kuta and be happy with that Taxis rip you off wanting 300,00 for an 85,000 trip in. try bargaining, good luck
This was cancelled on our trip, but been there many times. but from the ship its a long way in 75k's. but I believe there is a shopping centre near now. would be a rush day to go to KL for the day to see the towers, go on an excursion, that way you won't miss the ship
