This cruise, with only one port, Cabo San Lucas, 24 hours, 1pm to 1pm, was truly designed for relaxation and fun on the ship. And that is exactly what we had. Total relaxation. As one member of our group said, "Darn, turning over on the deck chair for the past 6 hours has sure been a task." (sarcasm intended.) Like most PCL cruises out of LA, the embarkation process was pretty easy. We have priority boarding, and the other couple, who do not, were allowed to go with us, so we were boarded within 20 minutes of the starting time. Rooms were ready, and off to eat. The food on this ship is generally good, as is most of the PCL ship's food, but not spectacular. The one exception is the Crab Shack specialty dinner. This was an amazing experience, and the $20.00 cost was far below what would cost easily $75.00 on land. More than one could possibly finish, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. The pool areas are great, with a generous number of deck chairs to use. Finding a few together was never a problem. The entertainment was excellent. As always, the PCL production shows were lively and enjoyable. There was also one of the funiest comediennes, and a great magician. Finally, the port, Cabo, well, it's Cabo. Lot's to do, shopping, water sports, eating and drinking, all available, and all fun.
Yes, there were some hiccups. The drinks seem to get weaker and weaker, everytime we go on a Princess ship. This time, I actually refused to take one, and asked for it to be remade, with at least an honest jigger, and it was. And as is often the case on Princess, the Customer Services Desk personnel were really rude and awful. PCL really needs to do something about this group, or at least, change the name to info booth or something less offensive than Cust Srv anything. But the service on the ship otherwise was wonderful. People smiled, helped, answered questions, etc., and just made the whole experience great.
Typical. Bathroom a bit small, but adequate. Room had a desk with a couple of chairs. Closet was roomy and had lots of hangers, and the balcony was much larger than most. Really a great balcony.
Cabo is always a fun and active port. Lots to do, including water sports, scenic rides on water taxis, beaches, fishing, snorkeling, etc. And lots of food and drinks.
We live in LA, so we don't do anything related to the cruise, except go to the port for embarkation.
