The beginning of the year we decided after many beach holidays and city breaks to succumb to our Friends suggestions, after timeless searching and many late nights we decided to a "taster" cruise and choose a 7 night cruise on Britannia.
We have visited many countries and stayed in many luxury hotels that boast excellent service, incredible decor and fine dining, but as the tile implies our first cruise has given us the bug. We, and our close Friends chose Britannia and in all honesty we were glad we did, and before writing this review decided to view the experiences of others, some had valid points others I found too critical. I can only base this review on my personal thoughts and experiences, yes there are a few negatives but the positives far out weigh them:
Lets start at the beginning, booking was easy and we were kept up to date by e-mail on all we were expected to do, we reserved our restaurants and booked our car parking.
Well designed, compact with everything you need. The bed was a dream and very comfortable. Bathroom had plenty of room for what was required. Towels and bedding would be changed when sequestered and Belino our Steward was worth his weight in gold.
Guggenheim museum well worth a visit as is a stroll to the old town.
A visit to the old cake shop and the "Tower of Hercules" (not for those scared of heights).
