There were four of us in our party, my husband, my friend and her husband. This was our 12th cruise with Thomsons. Everything was superb from start to finish.
When boarding we met Ronaldo who had been our waiter previously on the Celebration, what a welcome he gave us! I don't know how the staff remember everyone. We dined each night in the Meridian Restaurant where Malcos ,who assisted Ronaldo, and Benjamin the Wine Steward gave us excellent service. We had the all inclusive package so our glasses were well filled! We had a special treat in Mistrals, all very nice, but really not much better than the Meridian and lacking in the fun and atmosphere. The Restaurant Manager, we called him the "Whirlwind", ensured that the service in both the Lido and Meridian was of the highest standard, he was "hands on" clearing tables etc., when necessary. The Hotel Manager, Craig, was very chatty and also his main aim was that guests had no cause for complaint.
The only negative comments I would make is that the Coffee Port was not really necessary, why pay for coffee when you can get is free in the Lido? Also the service in the Broadway was poor, not enough staff on duty.
Tina, our Cabin Steward was always around, she kept our cabin spotless. Two of the tiles in the shower were cracked, we did not report this, but we noticed that these had been replaced when we were out.
The entertainment was amazing. The team worked well together, you could see their interaction on stage. Each night they performed to a high standard which was always very enjoyable. We have met Gavin, the Cruise Director, on other ships and always feel that he seems to bring out the best in his team. His performance in "My Fair Lady" was hilarious.
Altogether an amazing cruise, with beautiful scenery, the sailing into Venice and Kotor was fabulous. We spoke to many people on board and they all agreed that this cruise was wonderful. Well done Thomsons, we are already looking at next year! Thank You.
Ideal for our needs.
