Sail Date: Jun 2015
Cabin: Large Ocean-View Stateroom

We were on the Statendam in June for a 14 day Alaskan cruise and not only was it a great itinerary but we loved the Statendam. It is true that she is getting a bit worn in places but that doesn't take away from the comfortable feel of the ship. It was easy to get around anywhere, it never felt very crowded (even in the Lido or on deck when we were viewing the glaciers), and the service and food were first rate. This is her last season and she will be missed by those of us who prefer a smaller size ship rather than the mega ships that are becoming the norm.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom

Cabin EE

Our cabin was on the Lower Promenade deck and though we were initially concerned that people walking on deck might be able to see into our window, this was not a problem. We loved that we were able to walk out our cabin door, take a couple of steps and we were in the lower atrium, or at the elevators, or could go out on deck. One of the best locations we've ever had in all our 20+ years of cruising!
