My DH and I enjoyed our cruise to Bermuda on May 2. Service was very good, food was good, the ship was lovely. However, we did have a hard time sleeping due to noises in the wall and ceiling of the cabin as the ship moved. The staff did what they could to position some extra support between the molding and ceiling and it did help, somewhat. But for a light sleeper, it amounted to difficult nights. Thank goodness we were docked in Hamilton for three nights. I am assuming the age of the ship has created some problems because the creaking noises made it sound as if the ship was made of old timbers which creaked with movement. In my response to the HAL survey, I did comment on our concerns but otherwise praised the staff and ship. And I noted that the entertainment on the cruise was the best I had experienced on any of our cruises.

Hamilton

We enjoyed Bermuda by using its public transportation - buses and ferries. Very easy to arrange and use. Docking at Hamilton itself, walking up two to three blocks to the main bus station and purchasing a two day pass for buses and ferries was simple. Traveling that way with both visitors and locals made the experience interesting. Although, later in the tourist season, the buses are likely to be full up. Even with our May 2 sail date, one bus trip had to skip picking up some passengers because it was so jammed with riders.
