When we arrived at the ship, you could not miss the large dent in the starboard bow of the boat. We were given multiple variations of what went wrong and was assured by Viking that the ship was safe and that we would sail a promised. Unfortunately the French authorities had a different opinion and refused to let us sail, we were thankful that the French authorities were concerned enough about our safety. Instead of sailing, Viking put us up in a hotel that was not equipped to handle such a large group of people in a remote part of Paris with no attractions. Since we were now on a bus tour of France, we pulled out of port and the contracted bus of Viking was immediately in an accident and the driver refused to stop. Viking did not stop to see if passengers were hurt or access the damage, had they stopped, they would have found that the emergency exit was not functional. Being bused that first trip only allowed us about one hour to visit Monet Gardens and unfortunately did not get to see Monet's house.
When were finally reunited with the Viking Pride, we were driven in an industrial ship yard where a cloud of dust hoovered over us and they planned to serve us lunch outside in the industrial port. We spent two nights in the industrial port.
Viking welcomed us home with a messages offering us an insulting deal on a future cruise if booked with in one year.
Cabin was average size for a cruise. Well serviced and maintained.
