This was my husband and myself first cruise. We were in an interior stateroom #6365. Do not book this room!!! The first thing I noticed was the size. This room could not be more than 120 square feet total. There is no table or chairs or couch in this room as there would not be room for them. There is one stool in from of the mirror/counter. Basically there is no where to sit in this room except the bed. The second thing I noticed was how filthy the room was. It had layers of dust on the headboard and any other surface that was not used constantly. I told my husband to wait to unpack and I cleaned the entire room and bathroom. It was disgusting. The worst thing about this room is it is right above the band stage in the casino. The music was so loud that our room was actually vibrating at times. This went on late into the night. OK, enough about the awful room.

We were disappointed with the activities on board. The first show we saw was good but the second one we walked out of as it was plain inappropriate and the third big show was a burlesque. Seriously on a family cruise? It seemed to us that people were just drinking and acting rediculous from morning until, well I guess morning. It was a total party cruise. If this is what you go on a cruise for, than I guess it is for you. We would have liked to have gone to the casino but the smoke in there was unbearable. The few times we had to walk through I did it holding my breath as fast as I could.

The food was o.k. Some nights the main dining room was quite good but one night in particular I could not eat either of the meals. I first ordered the fish which was so overdone it was inedible. I then ordered the chicken but when I cut into it there was blood. The poor waiter was beside himself. We still gave him a good tip because he was wonderful the whole cruise and it was not his fault.

Avoid this cabin It truly is a small, loud, miserable cabin.

Port Reviews

Progreso

We liked Progreso. There is not much there but the beach was nice. We walked to the beach right of the pier. There are merchants trying to get you to sit in there lounge chairs and buy drinks from their bars. We sat at a table and had a drink and enjoyed the ocean. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. We live about as far as you can get from a beach in the U.S. so that was enjoyable for us.

Cozumel

We did not enjoy Cozumel very much. We had booked a private tour guide that was supposed to be ours for the day to do whatever we wanted. Well when we got to the meeting spot, there were four other couples. They wanted us all to go in a caravan to predetermined stops. This is not what was advertised. I said I did not want to follow in a caravan so we got our own driver but he still took us to these predetermined places. I wanted to go to the beautiful beach in the pictures. This is not where we went. The very last stop was at a restaurant across the street from a dirty, trash littered beach. Perhaps if we had booked a cruise excursion we would have had a better time but we were very disappointed.
