My husband and I have never been disappointed in any of our sailings on the Pacific Princess. We have traveled for 32 days from Ft. Lauderdale to Sydney and never once felt cramped, bored, or invisible. There was always something to do and the food was wonderful and fresh. The Library is lovely and a nice place in which to relax. We attended a wedding of table partners that was beautifully appointed in the Library. We have also sailed in the Mediterranean, Black Sea, and other sailings over the years. This ship has a wonderful energetic friendly staff. Since it travels the world we always check to see if we can connect when we are ready for another excursion (no matter who owns it and realizing the staff and crew make a huge difference.) The Best memory (hard to choose from so many) was seeing my husband participate in the traditional ceremony for first time Equator Crossers. What a delightful, fun, mess. Other entertainment was on a small stage in a cabaret lounge setting and other venues. Each port had marvelous acts board for the evening. And, of coarse, the talented singers, dancers, comics, jugglers, bands, etc. who traveled with the ship entertained us at sea. (Good movies, too) The overall feeling was that of sailing on my own private yacht with friends.
Hint: For any sailing, don't try to be the first on board. Relax, know when you MUST be on board, have a late`or a beer near by, and walk on board comfortably without spending your vacation in line. Don't be a "Hurry up and wait" person.
We always choose a mini-suite/balcony. We have our morning coffee delivered to the balcony and plan our day. This size room has a tub/shower set-up we find convenient. The room stewards and service, including medical staff, were always extremely accommodating.
