I was sadly disappointed in Carnival. This was my second cruise (my first was on Royal Caribbean Explorer).
It all started with the dining time. We requested late seating and they bumped us to early, 5:45 seating. We went to the information desk as we were told and they gave us the run around and said to meet the maitre de at the dining room at 4:00 only. Well the ship drill is at 4:00 so we went at 4:30 and he wasn't around. They then told us we had no choice but to eat at 5:45. So we went then and he gave us a hard time about wanting to switch and said he would see what he could do. When we ate in the dining room the first night the waiters were scattered. We had ordered a salad with ranch and he gave us fruit and we never got our salad. Our neighbors still didn't have a chance to get water and bread when we had already ordered and they had been there longer.
The buffet was disgusting, food was over or under cooked. #1 suggestion is to wake up a bit early just so you can go to the dining room for a decent breakfast. All the buffet food was gross at all times. If it wasn't for the Pizza, burger and sandwich place we would have starved. After receiving a change in dining times our new waiter Tony was Awesome. He made sure everything was wonderful and we got what we wanted.
