We are in our late 50s - not uncritical (we were very critical of our Ventura cruise earlier in the year) - but we're not "professional moaners" either - sorry, but we all know they are out there, waiting to ruin a good lunch. We've been on about 12 cruises - four different lines, and on P & O we'd tried Aurora,Arcadia and Ventura. For others like us out there, here's a positive review for the Arcadia for a Med. cruise October 2008
This was a "good standard" cruise on a "good standard" ship and excellent value for money. Food was possibly the best of any cruise, both in the main restaurant and the buffet. Only possible regret was that gala nights did not have anything particularly outstanding.
Rhodes specialist restaurant had been more than excellent two years ago and was more than excellent again - it was the highlight of the cruise for us and we ate there 7 out of 14 nights - well worth the extra £15. Note that there are special offers (£10) on the first two nights and also two gourmet nights. (Yum yum as my wife would say)
