Embarkation in San Diego is a breeze. Less then forty-five minutes from cab to being onboard. This will be short, as we did not try a lot of the onboard ammonites. The ports of call where Cabo,Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We had to tender in Cabo and it went quite smoothly. We tied up at Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. The only shore excursion was in Puerto Vallarta. Swim with the Dolphins, through the ship with Vallarta Adventures. It was excellent. My wife and myself do at least one saltwater encounter on every cruise. We had traditional dinning second seating. Although it is not five stars plus, it was very good and service was excellent. This was our only dinning. We did not go to the buffet, La Scala or Sterling's. We did have a burger by the pool a couple of days and there was never more then a couple people in line. Pool deck service was not the greatest in the mornings, but improved by noon. The Wheelhouse bar was very nice and the service there was excellent in the evenings. Casino had plenty of slots but only three blackjack tables. We had a balcony on Aloha Deck. From what I had read I knew to look forward to a small cabin. Cabin is more then sufficient for two on a seven-day trip except for only having one electrical outlet. The bathrooms are small and no outlets. One other drawback was the aft elevators only went down as far as the promenade deck Disembarkation was as painless as embarkation; all in all I would go on Dawn again in a heartbeat.
