This was the worst experience ever!! We have always traveled with our three children and never had such problems. We missed the cruise ship due to airline blusters!! Had to self pay to get to Cancun, travel 6 hours by taxi to meet the ship in port- Once on board- staff unfriendly, not helpful, appeared to us like we were a bother! Asked us to carry own luggage after walking one mile already to get on ship with 9 pieces of luggage. Once in our balcony room- windows filthy, and way to small for five! We had been assured it would be plenty of room for all!! The only plus for this trip was our dining room staff- we had asked for early seating but got 8:30 because we missed embarkation! The table was too small for five and was always set for four!! Food was okay, but the waiter was great! So we missed any type of shore excursions in Mexico as we traveled via taxi through rough terrain! Once in Grand Caymans, everything was already booked, and those that had excursions got priority in getting off ship, so once we could get off the tender boats took an hour to get us to Grand Caymans leaving us very little time to do much- The best was Jamaica we had already set up though friends a tour guide with Mark Henry and he was fabulous!! We had a great time here. Once back on the ship, it was not very relaxing lots of under age drinking, obnoxious teens!

They say they are a non-smoking ship but everyone I saw was smoking wherever they wanted!! Once again to leave the ship they have a meeting to tell you what to do, where to go and split people up from early flight departures, etc, they cattle you to designated areas and then never call for early flight departures to leave!! Someone finally came and said you must get off the ship now! Needless to say, there were people on the shuttles that did not have early flight departures and we did, making it difficult for those that needed to be at the airport that morning!! Again on the way home the flight that was booked through Carnival, cancelled leaving us stranded in Atlanta, my son missing his surgery the next afternoon. Then we had to fly to Syracuse, when we originated from Albany and that is where our car was, needless to say we had to pay for a rental then drive to Albany and get our own car!! All in all, horrible experience from start to finish and highly doubt I would go on another Carnival Cruise, at least not during school breaks!! We had alot of unexpected cost from this mess!
