This was a cruise to the Christmas Markets of Amsterdam and Ghent 15 - 18 December 2014, except... there really isn't much of a Christmas market in Amsterdam and not much surfaces in Ghent until after 11.00 a.m.
The organisation of shuttle buses from the port to town centres was outstanding and the tour of the canals and city in Amsterdam was first class with a witty and informative commentary.
It was no hardship that Amsterdam had no Christmas market as the Bloemenmarkt had a spectacular Christmas shop and plenty of choice for gifts.

The cabin was low down but well appointed and scrupulously maintained.
