We had a fun time but were a bit disappointed. The cruise started in Quebec City and ended in Ft. Lauderdale. Although the weather was something that no cruise line can control, the Solarium offered a nice alternative to the outside, however on more that one day the glass roof leaked making 4 or 5 of the lounge chairs unavailable on days when they were in high demand.
We ate the the Chops grill, and found that the service was lacking, not nearly as good as in the main dining room. They waiter was not to be found and though there were many empty tables the night we dined, he complained that there a large party (16) so that was why the service was slow. We had a superior veranda cabin, and although the cabin was nice and the stateroom attendant was excellent, the shower drain overflowed to fill the bathroom floor with an inch of water, maintenance (which we called several times) never came and the verandah divider came loose and woke us 3 different nights until they finally fixed it right.
One of the shore excursions in Prince Edward Island promised a stop at an artisan community (closed for the season), and a view of the red cliff shoreline and lighthouses. After our bus filled with fumes and we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes at a souvenir stand for another, the bus returned to the ship the same way it came, so we never saw the second part of the tour. Shore excursion manager never spoke with us even after 3 trips (one requested by them) and only offered a 30% rebate. (after we returned Royal Caribbean refunded the rest and apologized).
The cabin was very nice but the drain in the shower overflowed to fill the bathroom floor with an inch of water on several occasions and maintenance never came. The divider between the balconies came loose three different times and woke us 3 nights banging into the door and furniture. It was finally fixed right the third time. Although we were nervous that the cabin might be noisy located near the elevators and stairway and the Centrum, it was very quiet once the door closed.
