My wife and I chose this cruise for a short getaway and to help some friends celebrate her 40th birthday. We haven't been on a cruise ship in almost 20 years but this was our 10th cruise. It will likely be our last but will for sure be our last Carnival cruise. Of the other nine cruises we went on, only one was on Carnival. We now remember why we didn't go back to them.
The food was very generic for a cruise. If you wanted a steak or lobster tail at dinner, they charged you $20.00 extra for each one except on "formal night". If you wanted an Espresso or Latte after dinner, they charged you $2.25 for it.
There were no "shows" at night. No singing and dancing talent. No productions of any kind. There was a Hairy Chest Contest by the pool but my wife wasn't interested nor was I.
