First of all we live with in 30 miles of the port of Charleston. This is our 5th cruise on the Fantasy and 6th cruise out of Charleston.
The cruise terminal in Charleston is about what to be expected in a 3rd world country. For some reason it took us 2 hours to get on the ship after parking our car. The last cruise we took on August 2014 took us only maybe 30 minutes to get on the ship.
We where told that there was not enough shuttle buses to get people from the parking warehouses to the terminal. Sounded like a poor job of ordering manpower to work.
Not a bad room portside on deck 4. Cold AC and it has a fold up bunk bed but still has 2 twins to make a king bed. It is also near the rear elevators . Straight shot up to the Jubilee dining and Lido deck dining.Cons there is a crew door across cabin door so you hear a lot of laundry carts or other things banging in out of that door, Also some kind of banging noise outside window which sounds like paint being chipped even at sea. Also the last sea night you can hear a lot of banging underneath cabin which is deck 3. I imagine it was the luggage being collected.
