Sail Date: Aug 2011

Flew Birmingham 0600 via Amsterdam 0930 to Zurich. Collected and taken to the Movenpick only tea and coffee was provided despite the fact we had a 4 hour wait for transfer to Breisach because high water on the Rhine had prevented the ship getting to Basel. 1hr 30 min coach ride to Felicity and we departed for the overnight cruise to Strasburg.

Day 1 Did the included sightseeing boat trip and walk before returning to the ship for lunch. PM did the Alsace Trip which was good but 39euros for a short coach tour is expensive.

Day 2 Arrived in Speyer at 0700 we hadn't booked the trip to the Cathedral and Technical Museum but went independently 14euros for the Technical Museum which is a must and 3euros for the Cathedral (39euros with Avalon). After lunch on the boat we got a coach to Heidelberg for some sightseeing and shopping, while the Boat relocated to Manheim.

Cabin Review

Noisy at the rear of the ship. Very clean and well maintained
