Sail Date: May 2014

We sailed the first weekend in May. This ship was late to EVERY port, sometimes 2-3 hours! I get that the ships can't dock in bad weather/rough seas, but these were not issues. And to be late to every port?? We booked a panning for gold shore excursion in Juneau through Princess and opted for the early one...BIG MISTAKE. Because we were so late, we got to pan for gold a total of 15 minutes, because they chose to allow those people who were booked on the afternoon excursion to have their total time and cut our time short. Complaints to the shore excursion desk and to Princess' customer service has been useless. They just don't care. The one other excursion we booked was Butchart Gardens in Victoria. Again, the ship was several hours late, so Princess cancelled all excursions in except the shuttle into town. Most of the stores were closed because of the late hour.

The other issue was the food--not so good. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktails felt like they had been soaking in water for a week, and the main courses were bland. We've had better food on Carnival.

Customer service has offered to give us on board credit for a future cruise within a year despite the fact we told them: 1) we cannot afford another cruise in the near future; 2) why would we ever cruise with Princess again after the way they have treated us?? We felt like this cruise, which took 3 years to save up for, was a complete waste of our money. We will NEVER sail with PRINCESS again!

Cabin Review

The balcony was great for Glacier Bay.
