My two adult children and I have just returned from a 10 night cruise aboard the Legend and had a truly wonderful time! The crew and staff are terrific, they work so very hard at keeping everyone happy and also at keeping the ship spotless. The entertainment was decent - good house band and a couple of very funny comedy shows. We also enjoyed the singers and dancers on board. We don't typically participate in a lot of games or go dancing at night but the joy of cruising is that everyone gets the holiday they want.

Our suite was lovely and clean with ample room for the three of us. We had been in the same suite on the Vision last year so we knew what to expect. Two things surprised and disappointed us: During the daytime the smoke from the smoking area on the deck above is occasionally sucked down into the balconies or rooms if the doors are open. For those, like us, who aren't smokers this is unpleasant. It drove us in off the balcony frequently. The larger disappointment to us was the level of noise that came from the Windjammer virtually all night long. The Windjammer opens at 6AM and closes at 9PM daily so during those hours one expects the noise of traffic in and out and the daytime noise didn't bother us. We also understand the need to clean and set up for the following day. The footsteps and trollies rolling back and forth and banging that goes on constantly all night long, every night, make it very, very difficult to go to sleep or stay asleep once you finally drift off. This was not the case with the Vision last year. Our neighbours in the Royal Suite to one side and another Owner's Suite to the other side had the same experience, not surprisingly. It's astonishing to me that the most expensive real estate on that ship is subjected to such continuous racket. It seems that a policy of finishing whatever work needs to be done by 11PM and then allowing peaceful sleep for the suites below would be appropriate. Earplugs helped me the last three nights of the cruise but it shouldn't be necessary. The suite was lovely, the attendant fantastic and we had terrific neighbours however I would not recommend this suite to anyone simply because of the noise level overnight.

Our dining room staff people were fantastic! Danijel, Amit and the manager, Rodrigo Estay, were all so attentive and learned our preferences quickly. Rodrigo went above and beyond by making a special shopping trip into St Marten to acquire some wonderful gluten free foods that my daughter and one of our table mates loved. Both have Celiac Disease and while the g-free menu is much improved over a few years ago, there are still areas that could be better. Rodrigo obtained g-free breadsticks, cheese bites and the most wonderful chocolate cake mix that the bakery made up. Rodrigo went the extra mile by taking iPhone pictures of his adventure in obtaining these goodies including selfies and showed us the slide show upon presentation of the spoils! He's quite funny.
