Ok but won't rush back

Sail Date: December 2013
Destination: Australia & New Zealand
Embarkation: Melbourne
This was our first cruise there were some enjoyable things but overall it was disappointing.

The boat itself is dated and therefore the rooms and facilities are a bit tired. Clearly the maintenance crew worked continuously to maintain the boat.

The trip from Melbourne spends 3 days at sea before getting to Auckland which is a long time to do boat only activities with another 2.5 days on the return same same.

Some of the entertainment was ok residual a bit weak

The staff were very good and worked hard to keep the passengers happy

Epiphany band were very good and were a highlight

Gym was reasonably well equipped but the roof was low therefore using the machines I kept hitting my head

Rooms were always clean

Food was plentiful but a bit bland & carb dominated not good for a diabetic, the fatties enjoyed themselves

Hard to get a good coffee

It appeared to be More a hard sell on trips, services and the payable value adds. Had the likes of the photos and Lotus spa been more accessibly priced they would have received more patronage and sales

The cabin tv was dominated with UK & US programs with test cricket on at the time we had to endure UK Soccer !! With a cruise dominated by Australians the content should be reviewed

Contact with outer world restricted internet was expensive Less
