Sail Date: June 2013
Destination: Greece
Embarkation: Athens (Piraeus)
The Tere Moana is not the Paul Gauguin! Many expect the same ship and service...

I agree on same service but not the ship. The Paul Gauguin carries four times the passengers the TM can

bring....So, it is impossible to have the same space and activities as a bigger ship. Having said that, the TM

offers a wonderful product in its class of small luxury ships. Here are some points of our 7 day cruise.

Embarking: 10/10

Staff and crew : 10/10 ( excellent/friendly and could not do enough for the passengers!!!)

Food: 8/10

Meal Hours: 6/10 If you order out of hours, you need to use room service. Once at the room, you take your

tray to the outer decks... Would be just as easy to have brought to you at the bar or any other spot....

This only if you order something at let's say mid afternoon as you missed lunch because you were ashore....

Liquor: 10/10 Choice of whatever you may desire at the bar. More

Wines: 5/10 Poor choice Drank a Bordeaux Mouton Cadet all week with meals. They offer a very limited

selection of French wines. Mostly Italian and Spanish. That was a disappointment especially on a cruise

of that price.I was told they are redoing the wine selection....

Entertainment: 6/10 Crew gave some good shows which all enjoyed. The main entertainment is the piano player at the bar. He was a nice fellow but did not cut it as a seasoned pianist! They need better band

as it is virtually the only entertainment on the ship....

State Rooms: 10/10 Large, clean and very comfortable beds!

Shore Excursions: 5/10 Great selection but extremely pricey...

Choice of Ports of Call: 10/10 Excellent!

Overall: 8/10

As everyone else, I read some really awful comments when the boat was launched last December. I

never experienced any major problems of the sort. I believe tha company has fixed any major issues they had. It was overall a great experience on a smaller ship.Loved it and would do it again! I am sure the few

issues mentioned above will be dealt with by the company. At the end of the day, the kindness and attention of the crew, as well as the fine cuisine and overall experience makes this a very unique product! Less
