Before embarking on this cruise, i had read a ton of not-so-pleasing cruise stories and expereinces about this particular ship. But i tell you...ever since the Victory has been based out of Miami, what a spectacular difference! The ship itself is kept up very nicely (theres always some sort of crew cleaning everywhere you go) and the service was impecable! Unfortunatly, we were delayed by 2 whole hours before being able to embark on the ship from Miami's port due to an outbreak of Gastroenteritis! The CDC had cleared us around 1:30pm explaining that the ship had been disinfected, but throughout the trip more people did get sick(thats something no one can really control)! Port of Miami is always a great port to embark from, the hotels and entertainment are to die for, much so, that you almost HAVE to take extra time just to hang around.

The Victory does need updated; the cabins still have tube TV's! New Bathrooms, couch's and closets need to be placed in these rooms as well. Also, i wish this ship was updated with the FUN 2.0 activites like the Blue Iguana Cantina Burrito Bar, and Guys Burgers! Carnival needs to update this ship...SOON! But other than those maticulous features of the ship, the overall atmosphere was very relaxing and do as you please! The staff was very helpful always and the entertainment on this ship was much better than others weve seen! The Comedian with the bald head is the best, and the talent (singers/dancers) is pretty good! Im sure anyone is in for a good time even without all the modern updates with Carnival.

Ive always wanted to try a 5 day cruise, only to the Caymans and Jamiaca, and i have to say i do like the 7 day+ cruises better! Its only an extra 2+ nights and usually there are more/better ports to visit as well! But, The Caymans are beautiful as always, with the friendliest people and excursions, and visiting Jamaica for the first time was an interesting experience! Its a great place, Dunn's Rivers Falls is a sight to see (and climb) but KEEP YOUR HANDS IN YOUR POCKETS AT ALL TIMES ON THIS ISLAND! The islanders are always trying to sell you things, in a not so friendly fashion, but more of a "here you go-take it!" fashion leaving you to pay big $$$!

This cabin has a great location! Close to stairs, elevators, and your not far from the buffett at all. View from balcony is gorgeous as well!
