Sail Date: Aug 2005

We flew from Heathrow to Copenhagen with Scandinavia Airlines. No hitches even though we travelled at the time of the problems with BA and Gate Gourmet. We were met by Octopus Travel the transfer company organised by our UK Travel Agent. There were just four of us on the transfer bus and we discovered the other couple live only twenty mins from our son in Berkshire. We hit it off right away, they were on their first ever cruise and we spent a lot of the time going around with them.

Embarkation went smoothly (apart from a problem with our Express Check Out Form - more on this later) and we were on board by 12.30 which gave us the opportunity to explore the ship and find our bearings. We have never travelled on such a large ship before - more used to smaller lines such as MSC, Royal Olympic, Airtours or Thomson where there have been an average of 780 passengers!

First impressions were how clean and well serviced the ship seemed and this high standard was maintained throughout the cruise.
