"All of the above in many ways were minor issues, we enjoyed our cruise, but the cumulative effect is such that we are unlikely to cruise with P&O in the near future, also a missed port due to high winds was disappointing although clearly not the fault of P&O.We have used the Retreat (equivalent) on the Princess Caribbean ( identical ship to Azura) and it is so much better, cleaner, better food, massage , better sunbeds...."Read More

We chose this cruise because it was outside of school holidays and it went to some places we had not been to on other cruises. We started in Valetta, did a week in the eastern Med then back to Valetta, we then stayed on and went to Palma, Gibraltar and then onto the Canaries.
We usually prefer adult only ships and smaller ships, to date this was the biggest ship we had been on.

Was weary of going with P & O and I was right, firstly the awful smell of sewage on deck 7 all through one of the cabaret bars, not an officer in sight all the first week. Secondly the petty rules associated with the drinks package, you were allowed 15 drinks a day, but no doubles. At the bar I asked for 2 single gins ( using 2 of my 15 allowance ), but no, I could only have 1 and had to wait 15 ...

Spent several weeks retrying to cancel as entitled when 49% itinerary changed. No response from PO.
Dreadful service not shown to cabin, lunch in canteen wine served in plastic.
No turn down service stewards working in restaurant in evenings,
Repetitive menu.
Apps for booking shows and dining, resulting in 21/2 hours in dining room and missing shows.

This was our 1st cruise since before the covid lockdown we were really looking forward to it. We arrived in sunny Malta for a week around Corsica, Florence, Pisa, Rome and Sicily. We booked a week cruise around Corsica & Italy, followed by 4 days at the AX Palace in Malta with P&O in Sept 2022.

We did a fly cruise to join Azura in Malta flew from Gatwick boarding the flight and flight itself was seamless going out no delays. re was a 2 hour delay on the return due to pilots being late as they had to have a statutory rest period . Members of my family offered me the chance to cruise with them on Azura. I was very pleased to take up the offer.

We had to cancel an earlier cruise on Azamara due to Covid and this was a last minute getaway.We were pleasantly surprised to be on the ship by noon considering our embarkation time was 1pm. P&O had plenty of staff at the airport and the cruise terminal.

I am a fan of P&O and have cruised with them a number of times to various destinations, but this cruise was average at best and will make me consider carefully if I cruise with P&O again.
