We used ‘Park on my Drive’ and saved about £100 in parking fees however taxi to the terminal got us there too early so we had a long tedious wait to be checked in. Food My wife’s dietary preferences meant that we had to eat exclusively in the Buffet Restaurant Venezia, so that she could select food to suit her. There was too much emphasis on curries and Indian dishes, very little variety ...

The upside? Check in was like clockwork, our cabin (inside) was spacious and well equipped and staff were plentiful, friendly and well trained. The downside? Most everything else! The entertainment was generally poor and the programme seemed only geared to enriching the cruise line (learn about wrinkles and then buy treatments) and so pensioner based. Then silly stuff like the bar most people ...

Ship showing signs of age and lowered standards. In dining rooms lights not working and paint peeling on ceiling, stateroom carpet needed a good wet clean. However dining staff and room cleaners worked very hard, were obliging and pleasant. Food and entertainment generally good. Unfortunately, ship crew were short staffed and uncaring. Typical cost saving measures in Gibralta on 20th October 2015 ...

I read the reviews before we went and I was a bit concerned as some seemed a bit harsh. We went with an open mind and it started well. Our balcony cabin was clean, comfortable bed and good shower. Our cabin attendant was lovely, always smiling and hard working. Lots of fresh bedding and towels. Unfortunately our cabin couldn't have been further from the buffet restaurants we seemed to walk ...

Oh dear...... What has happened to P&O? This was our 10th cruise with P&O and they seem to be getting progressively worse every time Embarkation was quick and easy as always. Cabin ready by 2.00pm. Like a lot of other passengers we were not happy with the change of ports and the three full days at sea on the homeward leg, its a long way back to Southampton from Ibiza by sea, most of the time ...

I booked the cruise after several family members told me of their wonderful cruise experiences. How disappointed I was. Firstly, may I say how good all the staff were, especially the buffet staff. I felt however really let down by the lack of entertainment facilities. There was only one pool table, one table tennis table and one sports court , ( which is supposed to cater for ...

This was our first full cruise with P&O having previously mainly cruised with Princess and our expectations were mixed as some reviews were not complementary. Azura is a good looking ship and was on the outside clean and well maintained with a generally polite and helpful crew. Our inside cabin on Riviera deck was clean and well maintained by our rarely seen attendant, however on our second day ...

This is now about the 8th or 9th cruise review that I have created, and 3 of these were on Azura and Ventura, so you might think there was little more that could be said, unfortunately for P&O that is not the case because IMO there is quite a lot to say about their declining standards. But for all their faults we did enjoy the cruise because even with reduced standards a cruise is still a very ...

Being a large ship, we were not surprised to wait an hour or so, going through the usual reception system. Once on board, it did not take long to get into the cabin and make that important cup of tea, preparing to wave goodbye to Southampton. That's when we first noticed just how smoky the ship was. Of course, P&O allow smokers on the balconies - it's their prerogative and right, so that was the ...
