Dirty Ship

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

This ship was in poor condition. The spas by the pools were full of rust, and tiles ready to fall off.. The room was not sanitary. When we walked into one of our rooms there was human waste in the toliet and on the shower curtain. the toliet seat was broken. Hair all over the bathroom floor. When we walked in to our other room there were dirty underwear on the floor from previous guest. ...

The staff is wonderful. Johnson & Hylayna who took care of us at dinner were excellent!! Milton who took care of us in our room went above and beyond. The main areas of the ship are well maintained but the stateroom needs a desperate remodel. The bed was so uncomfortable we could not rest.Being this was our first cruise we had high expectations of how the balcony room would be and we were so ...

I would highly recommend this itinerary. Flying to San Juan, Puerto Rico is quite a journey from California but what a lovely place to visit. The people are so very friendly and we always felt safe. Do come a few days early as our flight was delayed and we got in the following day. The ship Adventure of the Seas is very nice, clean and lots to do, never a dull moment. Our Cruise Director Casey had ...

My family of 8 just finished a recent 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise to St Thomas, Curacao, Aruba and St Kitts. Itinerary, price and ship was my criteria. For my wife and I this was our 17th cruise (not all with RC) and our 3rd on AOS. Our first on AOS since the refurb. Getting the chance to sail again out of San Juan is always a thrill. We always go down a day early and stay at the El ...

Worst Food and Poor Attitudes

This will be brief. And, yes, I am writing to Guest Relations at the RCI headquarters. We booked a junior suite and it was great. We love having the additional space. We did not eat in the dining room as we just wanted to relax and not have to dress for dinner. The food in the Windjammer was terrible. We had a group of four and our entire group thought the food was bad. I am lactose ...

I stepped off the Adventure of the Seas two days ago in San Juan after a 7 day cruise to St. Thomas, Curacao, Aruba, St. Kitts with two days at sea. There were 9 of us in our group, all with cabins on deck 8. Even though our boarding time was sent to us as 2:00 pm, we had to be out of our hotel by 11:00 am so we took a shuttle over to the terminal at that time. There were no lines to speak of ...

Great Service on a very outdated ship

This was my second cruise with Royal Caribbean. My first cruise was out of Florida on the Oasis of the Seas, so I was spoiled the first time around. Let me just say that the Oasis and the Adventure are a stark contrast to each other. You can really see that RC is directing their money to building new ships and not updating the older ones - this was evident most in the staterooms. The service was ...

Ship and crew were poor

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

This was a family vacation for 20+ people. We decided on RC primarily based on the destinations. This ship was in a bad repair, and the crew didn't seem to care. While I can overlook things like frosted glass, a little bit of rust in the corner of the shower, and dated furniture...the real problem was the lack of care. Simple things to fix like: burnt out light bulbs were left unattended, ...

I choose Royal Caribbean because i traveled before with them and the experience was excellent. The food quality and taste is really superior with a variety of foods from where to choose that includes low calories, vegetarian and kids menu. The Ship has plenty of things to do for the youngest to the oldest, pools, slides, casino, night clubs, the stores and the shows... The library, arcade, movies ...

A bit of a disappointment

I wanted the experience of visiting 4 ports of call and a chance to explore San Juan. Thanks to flight issues we ended up never making it to our hotel and was not offered any type of refund. Never use the Air 2 Sea program, it is a disaster and you pay extra for poor service. The ship was okay, our stateroom was a bit on the tired side but I could live with that. Our cabin attendant was ...
