I cruised royal Caribbean a few years ago and had a great time. This time around, I've found it to be a shadow of what it was from even a few years ago. The number of activities was far fewer. The food quality, preparation, and potions lower. Large blocks where child care was unavailable including during formal dining. And between myself and others in my group there were so few positive staff ...
We have sailed on most of the major cruise lines such as Holland, NCL, Princess, Carnival, and Royal. We're Diamond Plus on Royal. Our August '22 trip on the Harmony was one of the best we've experienced.
We arrived within our appointment window and were whisked inside quickly.
We particularly enjoyed our time at the entertainment venues like Grease, the ice show and the aqua theatre. Food ...
I took my 6 and 9 year-olds on this trip while my dear wife stayed behind with our 6-week old. It was a great "dad trip" before school started. We did not even get off the ship in Nassau (as planned). I expected everyone to have the same idea in Nassau and stay on the ship, but no. The pool deck had plenty of space, the pools were nearly empty, and it was even easy to score a hot tub entirely to ...
After my father passed, we (my mom, my daughter and I) decided to book a cruise for summer vacation. After years of caring for my dad, my mom decided that she wanted to go big so she wouldn't have to worry about anything, so we booked a 2 bedroom, aqua theater suite (9330). This is a star class suite so nearly everything is included.
Pre-Cruise: We were very concerned about COVID. We had not ...
Harmony of the seas, our home port ship out of Port Canaveral, is leaving later this year to be replace by the Wonder of the Seas. We bid it a good-by with a back-to-back cruise as we await the arrival of the Wonder. We took several cruises on the Harmony between 2018 and 2022 and enjoyed every one of them. We witnessed the ship and crew recovering from the Covid pandemic and their return to ...
We chose this cruise because it was sailing from NYC. We had never been and we wanted to save time and money by driving to the port. We also really wanted to do Coco Cay. Driving there was very easy. Parking at the port took about an hour and then another hour to check in. Once we boarded, we grabbed some lunch in the buffet and drinks. We got a great spot for sail away!
Our family of 6 ...
This was a family cruise with my daughter, son in law, and 4 year old granddaughter, who stayed in the adjacent room no. 8 204. It was supposed to have taken place this past December, but my granddaughter test positive for Covid and RCI refunded all of the fare with our any hassle. We chose this cruise because it departs from Brooklyn. We live in Long Island and this was a no-fly cruise. The ...
Went on Mariner of the Seas, 5 nights to Labadee and Coco Cay. Frequent cruisers but first time after just one on Royal Caribbean years ago. Was multi-generational trip including first cruise for 7 and 9 year old granddaughters. Selected this trip as two great ports and activities on ship and adjourning promenade rooms for 4 family members. Enjoyed the ports and would return to both private ...
I traveled with my wife and child (6 year old). We had a cabin with an ocean view balcony. We had the 8pm traditional dining. We also had a 100 dollar on board credit.
Once we boarded the ship, we realized in the app, they had changed our dining to my time (which includes a wait time), we immediately responded to the main dining room and spoke with the crew member who stated for over 45 ...
Let me start off by saying this was not my first time on the Allure of the Seas. I was on this ship about 5 years ago, and was in awe of the architecture and entertainment on board. This time around I also was amazed by the sheer artistry of this ship. I'm going to break up this review in parts so it is easier to read.
FOOD:
The food was even better than I remember it being the first time I ...
