My Sister and I wanted to travel to New York and experience all it had to offer. While booking our trip we enquired about the New England/Canada Cruise and when we found out we could each have a single room at less the cost of an inside cabin each we booked the trip. We explored New York for three days, then boarded the Escape. Embarkation went smoothly for us. Our cabin was amazing, it was ...
Try booking a cruise to celebrate a special occasion, only to find out 3 days prior to sailing that you aren’t going there after all, and you have no recourse- you cannot re-schedule, you cannot cancel and get credit to rebook; you just need to suck it up and make the best of it. Safety issues were cited....... I get it. So you put on your big girl panties and deal. First you sail to a port that ...
I live in georgia and we spent a few days in new york before boarding the ship. our destination was bermuda. we were told the thursday before we left that due to weather the itinerary was changed to florida and the bahamas. we did not make it to the bahamas instead we circled bermuda and was at sea for days. they did not extend the hours of the restaurants. parties ended @ 12:30; ...
This was our 20th anniversary cruise. We loved our room, haven is the only way to go. I must say the prices for the haven have gone up so much we can only afford to go every few years. The service in haven was outstanding. Patrick and Nemfia were are concierge and they took care of everything. We got escorted in a private elevator to shows and had the best seats in the house. Blanco was our ...
My wife and I cruised with another couple, this is our 20th or so cruise and their 5th.
In the past 2 or so years, we’ve cruise on the Celebrity Equinox, Princess Ruby and now the NCL Escape. I wanted to do a comparison of these 3 cruise lines, but I’ll start with my review of the Escape.
From the very get go, we heard many negative things about NCL, i.e., the food, the crowd, service, etc. ...
This was our third cruise on NCL. And the itinerary (NYC to Halifax), along with the newer ship, convinced us to give NCL one more try. First the ship is a VAST improvement over the Pearl, especially the new wide promenades on decks 8/7/6 called the Waterfront. Outdoor bistros, bars, and comfortable seating galore. Plus they added two smaller public dining areas: Taste and Savor, to compliment ...
7 day cruise to New England with 3 couples. This is one of Norwegian's larger ships, so it took a while to get the familiar with lay out. We had a mini-suite on deck 10. Our steward was fantastic. We ate in the Manhattan Room, Taste, O'Sheehans, LaCocina, and the buffet. All of the wait staff were wonderful. The menus all had many choices for each meal - and it changed daily. We booked ...
Let me start by saying that we knew the risks of planning a cruise during hurricane season, so we weren't really that bothered by our itinerary changing. What followed is the reason for this review.
We were sent to Port Canaveral, Great Stirrup Cay, and Nassau. At Port Canaveral, there's not really anything to do besides the space center, which you really need more time for. So we didn't ...
I chose this cruise to see Bermuda. Unfortunately the itinerary was changed to Florida and Bahamas related to Hurricane Florence. I totally understood the reason for the change and had no issue with it.
However, after speaking with other passengers and learning that the Florida, Bahama itinerary was a much cheaper cruise. I was a little upset that we were not offered any money back or even ...
Our Bermuda trip was sadly detoured because of hurricane Florence. We were OK with going to Bahamas, but at the last minute, we didn't stop there. It was upsetting that we didn't get any credits for missing ports. My friend on Carnival received a $50 credit for a port she missed on her cruise last month.
