FALMOUTH, JAMAICA: This is the newest and least visited of the Jamaican ports. Many of the shore excursions head east or west to the other ports, but I had a relaxing day in and around Falmouth itself. The port area is modern and secure, with standard tourist shops and a few restaurants. I am adventurous and enjoy exploring, so I simply walked out of the port into the surrounding town. The ...

We loved Jamaica. We stepped out of the port area and found a great tour guy who toured us around Falmouth and Montego Bay and on the return gave us a taste of Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork and a fairly decent restaurant. The people in Jamaica are great. We did not feel threatened or scared at any time. ...

We booked an excursion in Falmouth, Jamaica but it was cancelled due to lack of participation. We still got off the ship and went to the shops. People were so friendly and happy. I loved the vibe there. There are two restaurants there as well, Margaritaville being one of them so you can grab a bite to eat off the ship. I would recommend staying at the cruise port and not leaving to explore on your ...

Unless you book an excursion, you will not be able to safely wander outside the gates of the little tourist area RCI has created. There are plenty of little shops and restaurants (with free wifi) inside the gated area so you can get off the ship for a few hours. We thought we'd walk around Falmouth, but within 5 feet of the gate we were approached by several very aggressive people all offering ...
