We did independent activites in Panama - toured Miraflores museum, visited the Embera tribe, visited Casco Viejo (Old Town) in Panama City and did a coast to coast tour that saw several sites and was fabulous, hiked Soberania park. Colon itself isn't exciting, rather grimy but there are many of other beautiful places to visit. ...

We did a required ship excursion by bus- Miraflores locks and the old section of Panama City. Our driver talked waaaay too much- stood at the front of the bus with a microphone and blabbed on and on for 2 hrs. A bright spot was the tasty lunch buffet at Atlantic and Pacific Co at the locks. Great views and much better food than what was available on the ship. We were glad we ate here instead of ...

Going into the Pnama canal was a "bucket list" type of experience. Only 15 inces of clearance between out ship and the canal wall. Very cool ...

Port was an industrial area without much to see and the shopping was not very good. ...

Not a whole lot going on here. Good place to visit once. Would not want to go back. ...

Panama Canal. This was the primary reason we booked this cruise and it did not disappoint. Our aft facing balcony gave us the perfect unobstructed view.
