This was our first cruise ever. We weren't sure if the experience would be for us, and, after having had several days to reflect on our experience onboard the Century, we have decided we much prefer being at a resort.

The ship was nice enough, feeling a lot like a 4 star hotel than a cruise ship. Our cabin was spacious enough, and storage was excellent. It was beginning to show some signs of wear, however. The upholstery on the chairs was faded and stained, there were some stains on the carpet, and the bedspread was torn in two places.

The lounges, bars and other public spaces were quite nice. We were very disappointed with the pool area, however: two small pools with 1500 people jam-packed around them. If you did not reserve a chair by 8am, you were out of luck until about 4pm. The pool band and games offered were much more what we would have expected on a Carnival or Royal Caribbean ship, so we tended to avoid that area at peak times.
