This cruise and ship did overall exceed our expectations. I had been reading the boards for the last seven months. Century is a wonderful ship with a fantastic crew. We followed the recommendations about arriving a day early. That was the best part. We stayed at the Hampton Inn. They picked us up from the Airport and delivered us early the next day to our pier. It was a good start to a great vacation. We traveled with our two granddaughters, ages 11 & 8. So we booked the family suite which included a small kitchen fully loaded. Plus they had a very good breakfast the next morning all included in one price.

At the local Club Store we did also buy some liquor to take aboard for consumption in our suite. We arrived at the pier around 11AM. there were no crowds; no delay; After a short sign in for the children, complete with special color coded wristbands for their Muster station, we were on board with a glass of champagne/OJ for the kids) in hand. Because of the boards again we went up to our suite to drop off our carry on bags. Another major tip I'm soo glad we did. We booked an inside stateroom for the girls that was directly across from our suite. It was ideal, perfect, great!!! they had their own space and could come over and enjoy our suite & veranda anytime we wanted them to. Another couple from New York in the suite next to us did the same thing. Their two girls were next door to ours. Also nice they were the same ages.

We met our room attendant, Rowell. He was great. Service was excellent. He also treated the girls like princesses. This was one of the really great things about this cruise. Service was exceptional. He was there to greet us, knew our names, addressed the girls by name. As we were checking out our suite and veranda, Edwardo came in and introduced himself. NOW, I had already heard about his great service from the boards and I told him so. He was so helpful. Asked if we wanted him to unpack for us when our bags arrived. I didn't use that service, but I did tell him that we were looking forward to tea at 3:30 and appetizers at 5PM. He showed us the breakfast menu and left his direct number if we needed anything to call him. We ordered breakfast to be delivered the next morning at 6:30am(We are early risers)and it was there, hot and delicious served on the veranda.)
