We just got back from the Mexican Riviera cruise on the carnival Pride. Great cruise had a great time. Sailed March 6th. I'm an economically minded cruiser - this is our third. All on Carnival. Went primarily because we got the 56% off through an online agency. So for about $100 bucks a day including the tips. They've started automatically including tips. Just be aware that whatever great deal, add $10 a day per person for tips.

This was the best ship we've been on yet. The staff was great although our waiters weren't as friendly as on the Ecstasy and the Elation. Very nice, helpful, business like. Solid met expectations. The art on the ship is nice. It's very artsy and there were a lot of classic nudes on the ship. I didn't find it offensive at all - Some friends of ours with children 5 and 7 had to explain the difference between art and porn to their kids. We stopped in Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas - pardon the spelling if it's wrong.

Things I liked: Nice Ports, a lot of time to do what you want in ports. Variety around the ship to find or do what you wanted. Friendly crew. Kept you very informed about what was going on and your options. I felt a good value for what I got. Lots of food. Eat all you want, nearly anytime you want. Friendly people. Everybody seems like family on the cruise ship. Get in the elevator, ask "how was your day" Nearly everybody is friendly and cheerful. I feared getting ripped off or taken advantage of - not so. Latin American people are friendly and helpful for the most part. Be polite and fair to them and they treat you with the same respect.
