Having cruised numerous times over the years it is clear that the quality and value in cruising is going downhill. The food taste and quality is really getting bad. Food used to be a big selling point for cruises. (We did not dine in the Golden Fleece dining room for their extra charges so I can't comment on how it was there.) I feared that if it compared to the rest of the ship's food I would rather enjoy an nice evening out to dinner off the boat.

Since they have changed the Formal Nights to Elegant Nights the whole dress code has gone out the window. Very few people bother to dress nice for formal dinners, and on the casual attire dinings you will find men in shorts and flip flops. While in the Truffles dining room one evening my husband was sneered at by the bartending staff because he would not order an alcoholic beverage with his dinner.

The ports were nice. We saw more security in Mexico than we have in the past. While that is reassuring it is also alarming. We did not tender into Belize having been there before. Knowing the forcast for weather there we chose to enjoy a quieter day on the ship than one finds on a day at sea. Roatan, Honduras is nice I just wish that the ship was there longer. The stay is the shortest port stay I have had.
