We arrived at Pier 12 at noon to be pleasantly surprised by a quick and efficient embarkation procedure with only a short wait before boarding the ship. Our cabin was ready and luggage followed very soon after. We went to the dining room for a very nice lunch ( horizon Court was very busy). The cabin was lovely and spacious with the best storage I have seen and the bed turned out to be very comfortable. Our steward Marlon was extremely efficient and pleasant, providing bathrobes on request and also shower gel which we had assumed would be provided but was not - only soap!.He also brought ice every day without being asked. We had set 8pm dining in the Palm dining room which was really good with extremely efficient waiting staff ( Elias and Oliver) for whom nothing was too much trouble. The food was good although not a lot of choice. We never ate in the Horizon Court as it was very difficult to find a seat and people were wandering around with plates of food, although some tables were being used by passengers to play card games which should not have been allowed in this area.

We enjoyed the ports although we did not like the way we were herded like sheep into lines to disembark the ship. We did not get to see much of the entertainment as the theatre was always packed to capacity and we were not prepared to stand. There is also a problem with the lifts on board as we were on deck 15 the lifts were always full before they reached our deck and we had to wait ages for one to reach our deck. There was also a problem finding somewhere to sit as every area was packed with people especially on sea days.We were unable to dock at St John as the wind was too high and this showed up a real problem as it was too cold to sit on deck and everyone wanted to be inside. There just was not enough space for everyone. Disembarkation was a bit chaotic but the luggage organisation was good. Overall a pleasant trip but we felt there were too many passengers on board and not enough facilities provided eg. Lifts, seating, theatre seats and Horizon buffet seating. I was also very cross to find that we had to pay for coffee in the International cafe as I have not come across this before on any other ship. I also found it very difficult to find my way around the ship and it was a bit disorientating.
