First I want to say that my husband and I had an excellent time cruising on Celebrity (AGAIN!). We have already booked our next cruise!Celebrity service is always fantastic. From our room stewards (Frederick and Andrew) to our waiters in Celebrity Select Dining (Gede and Nino)...with the help of Ante and Andrea (the dining room host/hostess staff) we felt like we were stars. Celebrity makes you feel like a million bucks! If we asked for it, we got it. Celebrity knows how to make it happen! The Equinox was a HUGE ship. A bit too big for our taste, but we wouldn't have known unless we tried it. It was meticulously maintained, always spotless. The staff was smiling and friendly, helpful and happy! There was something to do for everyone. From spa services to the fitness center, to the enrichment lectures, to learning how to juggle, we tried as much as we had time for...We even had an opportunity to tour the engine room and the bridge! The passengers we met were a whole lot of fun. We enjoyed relaxed, romantic dining every night (spending 2+ hours for dinner...which always included personal entertainment by our fabulous waiters), dancing in Quasar (a great DJ) and a younger, more high energy crowd than on our last cruise (Celebrity Infinity from Buenos Aires to Santiago). We love that you can dress up every night on Celebrity and feel wonderful! Our cabin was immaculate, large enough, with plenty of storage, a nice balcony, and everything we needed was provided by our excellent room steward. Another pillow, new wine glasses for happy hour, fresh ice, clean towels and robes...if we asked, we got it! The food in the Silhouette dining room was ALWAYS exceptional!! Never a bad meal! Lots of choices (including vegetarian options galore!) The wine list on Equinox was extensive, but the Sommeliers were less knowledgeable and busier than on most of our last cruises. As usual, the Internet connection was WAY TOO expensive, sporadic and never seemed to work in anyone's room. This was disappointing as Celebrity advertises access all over the ship. The cruise director and his staff seemed to be very busy at activities, though we rarely had contact with them. When we did spot Dru, he always greeted us with a warm welcoming smile! We saw only one show in the Equinox theater (so-so)...seriously, we were too darn busy for those shows! The ports of call were unique. We truly enjoyed both stops in Turkey. The cruise ship excursions in Turkey were exceptional. The guides were well informed and enjoyable (Certain and Suzie). The guides in Italy and Greece were hurried and unhelpful. One excursion (A Taste of Sorrento and Pompeii) was mislabeled and was a complete disappointment. It offered 1 1/2 hours of free time in Sorrento and provided 15 minutes! Celebrity did refund half of our money.Overall, we had an excellent time. I would highly recommend Celebrity Cruise Line! For our personal taste...there were just TOO MANY passengers on the Solstice class ship. We did wait for elevators, tendering, and slower, busloads of passengers (on excursions), etc. Embarkation and disembarkation were so easy...no wait, walk on, walk off!We are already investigating our adventures for our next cruise. We love Celebrity!
