Embarkation was a breeze. Arrived at the terminal around 11:00 and we were on the ship by 11:45. Went straight to Windjammer to enjoy a wonderful lunch. They had the cabins blocked off until 1:00 p.m. My daughter and I took a tour and were totally enthralled with the Mariner. We were traveling with a group of 32 for a wonderful family reunion. We met everyone at 5:00 on deck 14 at the 19th Hole to watch the ship leave port. Everyone was so excited for this much anticipated cruise.

Our room was fabulous. Would never cruise again without a balcony. Ordered coffee through room service every morning. They were exceptional in getting it there when I had requested. It was so relaxing to sit out there with my coffee enjoying the beautiful weather and just looking at the ocean. We had more than enough closet and drawer space. (Believe me my 16 yr old daughter packed for three.) Cabin was always kept clean and we enjoyed the towel animals each night.

The dining room was just O.K. I actually preferred the food in Windjammer. Would highly recommend Chops, it was definitely worth the $20.00 service charge. From the staff to the decor to the food there was definitely nothing to complain about. I'm not exaggerating in saying the baked potato was almost the size of a football. Have never seen anything like that. It would have fed at least 5 people.
