Even a cruise they lead would be better then 4 days on the booze cruise Sensation . This Cruse in no way even hinted to me as something you would consider family friendly . We went with the idea to spend all the time on this trip together . They offered very little we could all do together , it seemed to be more about dump the kids where ever and get your drunk on . The service on the decks was directed to those people with drinks in their hands first and the ones with cokes 2nd , or sometimes just when ever . It quickly came clear if you wanted something none alcoholic drink out on the decks it was way quicker and successful if you went to the bar and got it yourself . Well I didn't like the idea of my wife or daughter having to go to the bar just to get a soda, but that's your only option on the ship . That's still not a safe one , I went to the end of the bar on the ledo deck to get a soft drink because it was all I could reach . The first drink they give me had all kinds of little trash in it as did the second and third . The guy finally went to a different ice supply and made me one with out extras . They put soft drinks in you cabin but if you drink those they charge you two dollars extra even though you paid like 20 or 25 extra for a all you can drink soda card ,it seem like a way for them to get you back to the bar . I don't know if I expect more then I should when I expected to be treated descent when I spend my money for a service . Not to be made to feel special or one of a kind just descent . The food was less then desirable . The first night we ate in the dinning room , they seated us right away . Much to my surprise when I asked for orange juice with my meal my waiter said no that is for breakfast . Not no they don't have it, but no because he doesn't think its the right time to drink orange juice . Now I'm thinking my wife has to be messing with me or something because it is my 50th bday ,This guy really cant be telling what I can and cant have to drink . I don't know if this was just a freak cruise or what, but this was going from bad to worse quick . Instead of beating a dead horse and going thru it slow , had a salad but they did not have thousand island salad dressing . Then the main course seem to take forever, steak and baked potato that was cold at best . Cut the potato open and put butter on it and the butter would not melt , we ate a few bites gave up and left .Went to the pizza bar to save the night .The pizza bar seem to be the only place on the ship you could actually find hot food . We tried the dinning room one more time and decided to stick with ledo deck when necessary and off ship when possible .Excursions Yet another shot in the keester , I was told they had nothing to offer me .All we wanted was to arrange a simple tour of the islands , but where told because I need to take my power chair with me because I cant walk far . That was the first time my daughter ever heard me referred to as handicapped . Carnival strikes yet another blow to ensure this to be the vacation from HELL . They told us the Bahamas where handicap unfriendly but in fact it was Carnival that was the problem .We decided to get off the ship and see what we could find for ourselves Exiting the ship became the biggest problem because the crew did not line up the gang planks properly, I was thrown from my chair when trying .Yes literally thrown from my chair and since being home I have contact Carnival several times only to receive a form type letter telling me how carnival was at the mercy of their contractors , Which I feel is a crock of CRAP . When I managed to get back in my chair and get away from the ship it was good . We managed to get our tour taking my chair along was no problem for no one but Carnival . In short it seemed like there was no interest by carnival because there was not enough money to be made and no true interest in treating me and my family in a kind courteous manner that one would expect when spending their money . I have been dealing with this disability since 93 and don't expect or want any special treatment, it is part of my life , but on the other hand don't hold me back or make it harder just because I am disabled . I feel that's what Carnival did , for the first time in my life I was made to feel handicapped. I don't know if the crew and the Carnival organization were just off their game on this particular cruise, but I find it hard to find the words to describe just how bad it was besides just describing as a waste of four days of my life.
