We are back from our first cruise! We LOVED it!!!! As I have posted on this board I was the coordinator for a family reunion cruise. We had a group of 27 people. Every single family member loved it! All of them said they were going to book another cruise!

April 28th- We arrived to the port about 10:45. We were on the ship shortly after 11 a.m. It was great. The music was playing. We headed to the lido deck where there was plenty of food. We were supposed to eat dinner in the dining room. However, that did not work out. LOL We had adjoining cabins. Anyway, we were getting ready for dinner. I was about to get in the shower when my husband asked me what I wanted the boys to wear. My husband was in there cabin so I stepped in there. The adjoining door slammed clothes. Both of the keys was in our cabin. So we were stuck in one cabin with our clothes in the other cabin. lol First they tried to reach our steward (who was on break). It took a long time. Then he showed up and said he could not open it because we locked the bolt or whatever. He said we had to call security. By the time we did that, we were late for dinner. So we decided to just skip it rather than show up really late. Two of my sons did go to dinner because they could get dressed in their cabin. So we told them to let them know we would not be joining them for dinner (so they would not be waiting for us). Anyway, we ended up going to sleep early that night. I was feeling a little unsteady (not really sick but just kinda unsteady). I slept like a baby. LOL

April 29th- I woke up early to enjoy the beautiful day on the ship. We had a wonderful breakfast at the Lido deck. Then we explored the ship. I did a little shopping. My boys went to camp. Then we got off the ship at 1pm to explore Nassau. We decided to shop a bit and then head to Junkanoo beach. The beach was okay. If they would clean it up it would be nice. There was quite a bit broken green glass in the sand. My husband said he did not think there was very much glass. It is amazing how two people can go to the same place and have totally different opinion about the details. LOL Anyway, I would definitely recommend water shoes if you are going to Junkanoo. The water was crystal clear. You could stand in it and see straight down. I could see tiny clear fish swimming around my feet. Like I said it could be a really nice beach if they cleaned it up. Oh but I did feel a little unsafe walking there. I would not have been comfortable on my own. These two guys started arguing really loud on the beach so that unnerved me a bit. One kept yelling to "Call the police..I don't care?!?!". Something like that. Anyway, it was okay for a couple of hours. Then we headed back the ship to get ready for dinner. I had the turkey and pasta. It was okay. Many family members had lobster and they loved it. After dinner we took group photos. Then we headed upstairs to change. I went to karaoke (fun!) and later the deck party. I had a wonderful evening.

Cabin Review

We stayed in R136 and R140. Great location! No problems at all.
