Background, This is my partner and I's 5th cruise all with Carnival. We are from California and have only sailed west coast cruises until now. We have been on cruises as long as 8 days all the way to the 3 day booze cruise. We were celebrating my 40th birthday. We traveled with both of our mothers and my sister, they all shared a oceanview room. I booked this itenerary because of the dates and ports. Quick review, Embarkation was fast and easy. Small line through security but check-in was a breeze, Id say we were on the ship in under 30 min.I was a little hesitant booking on this ship because of some of the negative reviews. I found the ship to be what I expected. No ohh ahhs but it was clean and we were just looking for a fun time. My favorite class of Carnival ship is the Spirit class. I did notice some wear in tear on the ship but nothing major. Never been too fond of the shows on the the ships and this one was no different, they're just not my thing. The moms did enjoy them though. The comediens were good and whatched both shows. Most other times we were in the dance club till late night and the music and crowds were pretty good though the music pretty repetitive every night.Food was on par with the other Carnival cruises. Ive never had a bad meal although service was slow on our last night. Our table mates were great and friendly. The lido food was good, I did notice maybe some longer lines in the buffet area compared to previous cruises but this ship was completely sold out for spring break and there were many kids. Carnival did a good job of keeping them busy.Ports:Nassau - Our favorite, We did the Atlantis Aqua Adventure. It was pricey but worth it at least once.Half Moon Key - Beutiful - Did the Island Bike tour and laid out on the beach. Grand Turk - Didnt like the cruise port, was way to commercial. We took a taxi to downtown for a better experience and then had a few drinks at the Sand Bar. That was nice. This cruise waas great. We had a great time being together and having quite a few laughs. Carnival did not dissapoint us one bit. My only wish was that we would have had an additional sea day between ports. We were really tired. We had a great time. Yes there are nicer ships and cruise lines out there but for the price it was well worth it. I saved about 550 compared to other cruise lines with a similar itenerary and that got me the airfare for two.
